LESSONS NEVER LEARNT

Never thought I'd walk this path again
It reminds me of days of sorrow and pain
When all my pleading seemed to be in vain
Everything I worked for flushed down the drain.

I thought I was done
Learnt my lesson
You know,
Once bitten, twice shy
More like,
Bite me till I die
Cause,
I'm still here
Through the pain and constant rejection
I still find hope in that endless desert
I hold my faith strong as my knees bleed
Take the insults face brave for I believe.
They call me a dreamer, building castles in the air
But all I have left is my dreams,
for if not for dreams what do we seek?
