STORMS THAT BREAK

Storms that break

At one point in your life
you meet someone that blows your mind
doesn't matter how many others there've been
you've never felt something like this
for you can love many but you only fall in love once
you don't even know why you do
but you know you'll love them till the end
in life and in death.

Then they walk out of your life
as suddenly as they came in
you're left holding your heart
with wounds even surgeons can't heal
you break into pieces that can't be fixed
you cry yourself to sleep
for weeks without end
pain gets worse by the end of each day
trying to find meaning with what is left.

Falling is never easy especially if you have no one to catch you.
